Ultrasound-driven BaTiO 3 nanorobots patching immunologic barrier to cure chronic rheumatoid arthritis

چکیده

The disruption and reconstruction of the TREM2+ tissue resident macrophage (TRM) barrier on surface synovial lining play a key role in activation "remission" rheumatoid arthritis (RA), which engender prediction this immunologic as potential driver for achievement "cure" RA. However, strategies to promote have not been reported, effect patching remains unidentified. On other hand, appropriate piezoelectric stimulation can reprogram macrophages, has never exerted TRM yet. Herein, we design tetragonal BaTiO3 (BTO) ultrasound-driven nanorobots (USNRs) by solvothermal synthesis method, demonstrates satisfactory electro-mechanical conversion effects, paving way generate controllable electrical under ultrasound minimally invasive injection into joint cavity. It is demonstrated that could be patched USNR effectively, thereby eliminating hyperplasia vessels nerves (HVN) synovitis. Additionally, TREM2 deficiency serum-transfected (STA) mice models are applied proved indispensable RA curing mediated USNR. In all, our work an interesting important exploration expand classical BTO nanoparticles treatment autoimmune diseases, providing new idea direction biomedical application ceramics.

Ultrasound in rheumatoid arthritis.

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic inflammatory disease characterized by synovial inflammation that can lead to structural damage of cartilage, bone and tendons. Assessing the inflammatory activity and the severity is essential in RA to help rheumatologists in adopting proper therapeutic strategies and in evaluating disease outcome and response to treatment. In the last years musculoskeleta...

Why do we not have a cure for rheumatoid arthritis?

There are currently unprecedented opportunities to treat rheumatoid arthritis using well-designed, highly effective, targeted therapies. This will result in a substantial improvement in the outcome of this disorder for most affected individuals, if they can afford these therapies. Yet our lack of understanding of the basic mechanisms that initiate and sustain this disease remains a major obstac...

Comparing bone mineral density in rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis

Background: Changes in patients’ bone mineral density (BMD) is one of the problems in patients with rheumatoid arthritis, which can be due to the use of corticosteroid drugs to reduce patients' symptoms or due to the aging process in patients. In this study, we decided to compare BMD in patients with psoriatic arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Methods: This study as a cross-sectional descrip...

Controlling internal barrier in low loss BaTiO 3 supercapacitors

Supercapacitor behavior has been reported in a number of oxides including reduced BaTiO 3 ferroelectric ceramics. These so-called giant properties are however not easily controlled. We show here that the continuous coating of individual BaTiO 3 grains by a silica shell in combination with Spark Plasma Sintering is a way to process bulk composites having supercapacitor features with low dielectr...
